Our Mission

Airport Coordination Sweden (ACS) is the officially designated body responsible for the neutral, transparent, and non-discriminatory allocation of take-off and landing slots at Sweden’s most congested airports. Our primary goal is to optimize the utilization of airport infrastructure, ensuring that capacity is shared fairly among all airlines and operators while adhering to international standards.

Our Role and Responsibilities

We act as the central point of contact for airline network planners and airport operators to manage the “demand-capacity

Our core activities include

 • Slot Allocation: Distributing airport slots at Level 3 (Coordinated) airports.

• Schedule Facilitation: Managing voluntary schedule adjustments at Level 2 (Facilitated) airports .

• Data Collection: Serving as the authorized data agent for several other regional Swedish airports.

• Slot Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Coordinating with carriers and airport authorities to track slot performance while managing the dissemination of utilization updates.

Governance and Independence

To ensure total neutrality, ACS operates as an independent company. We are owned 50% by Swedavia AB (the airport operator) and 50% by a consortium of Swedish airlines (including SAS and others). This dual-ownership structure ensures that neither the airport nor a single dominant airline can unfairly influence slot distribution.

Compliance Standards

All ACS operations are performed in strict accordance with:

1. EU Slot Regulation 95/93 (and its subsequent amendments).

2. Swedish National Legislation regarding environmental quotas and local airport regulations.

3. IATA Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines (WASG).
