About us
Airport Coordination Sweden
Appointed by the Swedish Transport Agency, ACS serves as the neutral facilitator for airport slot allocation in Sweden, ensuring optimal capacity utilization and strict compliance with international aviation frameworks.
The SLOT Regulation
Airport Coordination Sweden (ACS) was established as an economic association in 1995. This formation was directly connected with Regulation (EEC) 95/93 of 18 January 1993, which governs common rules for slot allocations at Community airports.
Under this regulation, Member States must guarantee that a qualified natural or legal person handles allocations for both fully coordinated and timetable airports.
Independence & Governance
Prior to the formation of ACS, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) operated as the slot coordinator for Sweden. To ensure a neutral market environment, ACS was created and has since been designated as the official national coordinator.
As mandated, our coordination responsibilities are strictly executed in an independent, impartial, non-discriminatory, and transparent manner under the supervision of the competent authority, the Swedish Transport Agency.
Operational Pillars
Absolute Neutrality
Operating autonomously from airport operators and airlines to guarantee unbiased scheduling environments.
Capacity Optimization
Managing Level 3 coordinated hubs and collecting key data for Level 1 facilities to streamline Swedish infrastructure usage.
Global Alignment
Aligning domestic air traffic with European Union Slot Regulations and IATA WSG standards seamlessly.
